Vanquish Dance Company was founded in June 2007 by three passionate individuals Dan Little, Kirsty Armstrong and Kirsten Jardine. Vanquish is an amateur based dance company that combines the elements of hip-hop and street along with ballet and contemporary dance styles.
Starting out as what was thought as a simple idea to offer amateur dancers the opportunity to train and develop they soon found themselves entering into the SE Hip-Hop Championships where they were placed forth in there first ever performance, and since then Vanquish has gone from strength to strength. Within there first year they have already created a committed and determined team of over 19 dancers and together they continue to breakdown barriers and create opportunities to perform that allow them to reach a whole new audience.
With many plans and ideas burning behind closed doors they have already started planning the first Vanquish Youth Dance Workshops this summer. These workshops are aimed at young people aged between 11-14 year olds designed to make this style of dance accessible to the youth community within the Reading area.
